SCRAP ACCEPTANCE POLICY

A Sustainable Solution with Limitless Potential

Aluminium is one of the few materials that is infinitely recyclable. This miracle metal is used in medicine, space, cutting edge technology, and has countless everyday uses. Amazingly enough, nearly 75% of all aluminum ever produced has been recycled, and is in use today! We’re proud to be a part of this legacy of recyclers and manufacturers who use a material that is both eco-friendly and incredibly versatile. By recycling aluminum without chlorine, fluxes, or harmful chemicals, we’re taking the next step in the sustainable, long term management of our planet’s resources.

By adopting a life-cycle approach, CASS recycles end-of-life aluminum products back into raw material to be used to create new and useful products.

The metal recycling industry is critical to the local, state, federal, and global economy. Our industry annually processes more than 135 million tons of society’s obsolete products into useful raw materials, creating significant energy savings, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, saving natural resources, and limiting the amount of material that would otherwise be sent to landfills.

About Metals Theft
02

Metals theft is a big problem.  The thefts often lead to dangerous results such as electrocution, mass power outages, transportation interruption, and national security threats, putting first responders, utility workers, and citizens at risk. Its impact on the scrap recycling industry is also significant.  Recyclers are victims of theft too.  ISRI, the nation’s trade association and voice of the recycling industry, is actively working to help solve the problem of metals theft.Created as a public resource for legislators, law enforcement, recyclers, and other interested parties, the State Metal Theft Law Database helps visitors understand the laws with pre-made or custom reports on the provisions and states that interest them. This resource has been highlighted by the National Conference of State Legislatures as an incredibly comprehensive and useful source of information.
